This year’s renovation project – the front yard. We’ve been saying for years that we were going to do something with our postage-stamp front lawn. It was a pretty boring and basic small front lawn with a straight walk up to the front of the house. About a year ago, Lisa worked with a landscape designer – someone she knew from the kids school – to redesign the space. So in August – while Lisa and the kids were away at a friends cottage, I rented a jackhammer and got the project kick-started – at 8am on a Saturday morning. The neighbours were impressed! Anyway, between the two of us, we installed a new cobblestone walk and planted our garden. You can see some of the pics here. Our homepage background also shows our handiwork. Anyway, a fun project and looks pretty good.
